The Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve is the only hunting reserve in Nepal. Which wal located at Baglung District .

The reserve extends over an area of 1325sq. Km. This is only one hunting reserve in the Nepal to meet the needs of Nepalese and foreign hunters. Main animals to be hunt in this area is blue sheep and other games animals such as Leopard, Ghoral, Serow, Himalayan Thar, Himalayan black bear, Barking deer, Wild Boar, Rhesus Macaque, Langur(Monkey), and mouse hare. The hunting license is issued by the department of National Parks and and wildlife Conservation. There are some endangered animals in the reserve which include Musk Deer, Wolf, Red Panda, Cheer Pheasant and Danphe(Himalayan Monal). Altitudes of Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve vary from 3000m to more than 7000m. The flat meados above tree line, locally known as patans, are important for animals like the blue sheep. The reserve is divided into six blocks for hunting management purposes.
